Lambeau Field Venue Information
Lambeau Field is located at 1265 Lombardi Avenue in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Construction began in 1956, and the stadium opened in 1957 with an initial capacity of approximately 32,000.
Renamed in 1965 after Curly Lambeau’s passing, the facility has expanded repeatedly, reaching over 80,000 seats following the 2013 south end zone project. The playing surface features natural grass, maintained with an underground heating system to combat cold weather conditions, earning the venue its “Frozen Tundra” nickname.
